Otterhayes


                                                                                  

Otterhayes is the main house which provides 6 rooms for residents in residential care. All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV and telephone points and a private telephone number allocated to each room. The house has a fully fitted kitchen in which residents are encouraged to help in with staff supervision. Menu planning and shopping is also undertaken by the residents with support. Other rooms in the house include a lounge with TV and DVD facilities, a games room with pool table, games consoles and access to the internet, 2 dining rooms, a ground floor bathroom and a laundry room.



   

                                 

 

                                                   



                                                          
Otter Court

                         

Otter Court is a semi-detached property adjacent to a staff house. The house is all situated on the ground floor and provides accommodation for 2 residents in supported living. Both rooms have ensuite shower rooms, TV points and patio doors leading to a private garden area. The communial areas comprise of a kitchen and lounge/diner with a separate laundry room. The house has a communial telephone with private number and there is also wireless internet access.    

   

                               


                                                    



                          Otter View

                          


At the end of 2007, Otter View underwent a major refurbishment. Two of the bedrooms from the main house were incorporated into this unit giving enough room for three good sized bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, a large kitchen/diner and a laundry room. All bedrooms have TV points and patio doors leading to the garden. There is a communial telephone with private number and wireless internet access. There are also plans to create a large lounge area in the loft space.


                                  



                          Otter Lodge  


Otter Lodge comprises of two supported living units. One on the ground floor which has one bedroom with a TV point and a patio door to the main garden, a bathroom and a kitchen/diner which also has a patio door leading to the main garden. The other unit is situated on the first floor with two bedrooms, both with TV points, a kitchen/diner and shared bathroom. Both units have a telephone with private number and wireless internet access. There is also a lounge situated on the ground floor which is shared by both units.

                                                         

                                        


                            Otter Holt

                                                 

Otter Holt is a semi-detached supported living house on two floors which is adjacent to a staff house. The ground floor comprises of a lounge with TV point and wireless internet access, a kitchen/diner and downstairs toilet. The first floor has 3 bedrooms and a shared bathroom. 23 Silver St



In May 2007, the trust purchased 23 Silver St, a Georgian town house in the local community of Ottery St. Mary. The house is conveniently situated close to all the local ameneties. It is a stones throw from the local church, library and police station and a 2 minute walk from the local shops and pubs. The house comprises of three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, a main bathroom. kitchen, lounge/diner and downstairs toilet. There is also a small, walled courtyard to the rear. The lounge and all three bedrooms have TV points and there is wireless internet access throughout the house. There is also a communial telephone with private number.

                        



                                


                                                     
Outbuildings


The  Otterhayes Trust also comprises of several outbuildings, used for day care and recreational/leisure activities.

                                                              

There is a Art/Project room which is used by both care and support residents. Projects have included several carnival entries and there have also been art therapy sessions. There are also computers here with internet access.     

                                                

The community hut is used for several different activities such as drama therapy sessions, playing games such as pool and discos. There is also a projector and large screen for watching DVDs and sporting events.    

                                                         

We also have a well equipped workshop which is used for day care as well as providing equipment for general maintenance.

            


There are also plans to convert an outbuilding into a pottery.
